Reyes and Lim Company founded
Begins as ship operators, managers, shipbuilding consultants, brokers and agents. A key player in Philippine maritime.

Expansion into tankers
Commissions the clean product tanker "Alkane", serving Mobil, Caltex and Petron.

Cargo Marine Corporation created
A fully owned subsidiary managing LPG carriers and extending the group's maritime presence.

Safety is not only a policy at PNL. It is a reflex. Twice in our recent history, PNL vessels and crews have answered distress calls and brought every person home.
When MV Asia Malaysia sank off Ajuy, Iloilo, MV Phil Visayas answered the distress call. All 178 persons aboard, 134 passengers and 44 crew, were brought to safety. The crew's actions were formally recognised by President Benigno S. Aquino III and Vice President Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.
During Storm Enteng, MT Phil Leyte rescued 17 crew following an allision off Navotas, working alongside the Philippine Coast Guard.
